The Climate Corporation just announced the acquisition of VitalFields, a European farm management software company based in Tallinn, Estonia and also a graduate of the first Startup Wise Guys accelerator program in 2012. This marks the first exit of Startup Wise Guys portfolio companies and also proves the potential of startups from Estonia and the CEE.

Founded in 2011 and available in seven European countries, VitalFields offers an easy-to-use tool for farmers to plan, manage and analyze their field activities, including simplified tracking and reporting of all crop inputs to help ensure compliance with European Union environmental standards.

“Very proud of our alumni VitalFields. And excited for many more similar success stories to come from other graduates, taking into account that VitalFields are from our very first program. Their acquisition for sure is an encouraging signal to existing and upcoming startups from Estonia and nearby countries. We also hope that this exit of an Estonian company will encourage more angel investments in B2B startups from our region,” says Startup Wise Guys co-founder and investor Herty Tammo, reminding that Startup Wise Guys is currently fundraising on Funderbeam platform for the 8th batch of startups to be selected and accelerated in early 2017, in Tallinn.
