Accelerating in Lithuania

Lithuania is ranked 11th among 190 economies across the world in terms of the ease of doing business, and it’s 4th in the EU for digital public services for businesses.  Lithuania has now more than 1040 startups, and, according to Baltic Startup Scene Report, Lithuania has the highest gender representation coefficient in the Baltics by having 20% of startups founded in 2019-2020 with at least one woman founder.
Recently Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania has been named among the top-25 Global Cities of the Future for foreign direct investment, and no surprise there as in a challenging year that 2020 was Lithuania had maintained the best traction in terms of startup funding compared to the other 2 Baltic countries, H1 2020 vs H1 2019 grew by +128.48%.
The Baltics overall rank on highest positions in terms of starting and ease of doing business. Just like in neighboring Estonia and Latvia, Lithuania as well has a special startup visa for non-EU founders. Lithuania has had the most new startup visas issued in H1 2020 compared to Estonia and Latvia. For more perks on building a startup in Lithuania go to the Baltic Startup Scene Report.
