Top tech events this spring – Startup Wise Guys on the road
Spring is here and so is the tech event season! And it’s going to be hot!
Startup Wise Guys and girls are hitting the road to step on the stage and meet people. Catch us around the Baltics and beyond in the upcoming months and make sure to have these events marked down to meet startups, investors and inspiring people.
Our team mates Alexandra, Dima and Karina heading to Amsterdam. Grab them for a coffee to hear about our upcoming autumn B2B & Fintech programs or introduce them to startups, corporates or VCs we should know. Our portfolio startups are also around, including the CyberNorth batch teams and alumni’s from recent batches: Tarla.in, eXpact, Ziticity, Motivio, Currencii, Hive.id, Webtotem.
Latitude59 has always been a special event for us and this year we are having a booth, throwing a side event, and having a Demo time on stage for both of our current batches: B2B SaaS & CyberNorth. Seeing Fractory totally rocking the pitch competition last year, we are excited and curious to see, who’s gonna be in the Latitude59 pitch finals this year.
Our long-term mentor and pricing guru from US Patrick Campbell will be in town and sharing his story on the stage. But if you need to recharge and work, make sure to find the “red corner”, where we will be happy to host you. Besides – on May 17, right after Latitude59 official program we are hosting an invite only Networking Drinks with EIT Digital. Ping us, if you are around and want to join our crowd!
Second year in a row we’re going to Slovenia for Podim. Our Startup Scouting master Karina will be looking for promising startups for our upcoming batches, whereas on May 21, around 12PM at the Turner Hall our CEO Cristobal will be giving a keynote on “Life of a flying CEO”.
Our new Defense AI and cybersecurity program startups and our team is going to check out Paranoia conference for the first time. We’ve heard it’s awesome! Apart from CyberNorth batch, we will be bringing along some alumni from previous Fintech programs. If you are curious about, what cool cyber/fintech products and services they are developing, look for some SWG hoodies at the conference or join our side-event on May 20 with e-Estonia: E-Estonia Cybersecurity Evening.
As of this year we’ve expanded to Lithuania and our first Batch in Vilnius is accelerating in full speed! If you want to hear them pitch, come by to Startup Fair. Btw this is one of the rare tech events that is free of charge thanks to Startup Lithuania. Our Tallinn based CyberNorth batch will also be in town and pitching on stage. So double good, right?!
Apart from startups, our CEO Cristobal will also do reverse pitching on the first day of the conference, and Farid – MD of CyberNorth batch – will share, what’s up in cyber space on the main stage on the second day. Apart from that – we will be throwing invite only Networking drinks together with EIT Digital – ping us, if you want to join!
Fifteen Seconds Festival probably is not the usual suspect on tech events list, but our long term Productivity coach Stoyan Yankov said it is one not to miss. He will be on the stage, and so will our Head of Marketing Zane giving a keynote on Why bother developing culture and values. We are rather new to this market, so please – come, reach out to us and let’s be friends!
CEE All Stars
You probably haven’t heard about this one, but CEE All Stars is on for the 3rd year in a row and the feedback so far from startups and VCs has been amazing! This event is ecosystem driven and created in close collaboration among Google Campus Warsaw, Startup Wise Guys, Innovation Nest and SpeedUP VC. It is an invite only matchmaking event for best startups from CEE and selected VCs. No pitching, no speeches, just match-making. If you want to find out more, reach out to us.
Part of London Fintech week
It’s been a long time since SWG teams went to London for Demo Days, but we’re getting back to the roots and sending some CyberNorth and Fintech teams over to prove that Baltics have some awesome startups to keep an eye on and looking for great connections both in terms of funding and clients. If you are around the event, reach out to Cristobal or Farid.
As you can see – we’re up for a busy Tech event season! We hope to catch up with old buddies, get to know new ones and meet some awesome startups for our upcoming autumn batches. Reach out to us and let’s have a blast!
