Meet Sustainability CPH

In 2020 we introduced the “Impact Business Modeling” methodology together with Richard Georg Engström. We added it to our accelerator success formula and conducted our first Sustainability Accelerator in spring 2021! We have achieved excellent results working with early-stage teams with a purpose to solve the largest challenges of our time – and helped them to align their sustainable solution with the core of their business.

Wise Guys Sustainability Copenhagen program is for B2B startups from the Nordics and the Baltics offering a software or a service capturing, storing and/or reducing CO2 emissions. Our main four verticals are forestry, land use, agriculture and food.

The nine participating teams have founders from 12 different countries, forming one of the most international cohorts of all time. Aside from a cash investment, chosen startups go through an intensive mentorship-driven program managed online, with some co-working weeks in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Meet the teams selected for the batch:

S.Lab (Ukraine) – We grow (produce) 100% biodegradable packaging out of hemp and mycelium to replace plastic and styrofoam.

Decomer Technology (Estonia) – Decomer Technology is a cleantech/foodtech startup developing novel water-soluble, plant-based and edible packaging materials.

Sensegrass (France) – Sensegrass is a soil intelligence platform for fertilizer management. We use a combination of AI-based recommendations and soil sensors to deliver real-time soil health analyses and targeted nutrient management. We help farmers and companies reduce chemical fertilizer use, increase crop yields, and grow more sustainably.

CleverEat (Romania) – CleverEat is a digital platform that helps food locals transform surplus food into profit by allowing them to sell the surplus food at discounted prices at the end of the day.

BeeSage (Latvia) – Data-driven beekeeping for productivity and sustainability

Agritrack (Greece) – The agriculture process automation platform tracking quality from farm to fork, aiming to reduce food loss and food fraud

Hardcastle GIS (Map My Crop) (India, United States, United Kingdom) – A SaaS AI-ML based Crop Monitoring Platfor

Avrio (Poland, India) – AI-powered facility operating system to enable enterprises decarbonize their portfolio of small and medium-sized buildings

Wise Guys in Copenhagen

We are here to bring out your A-game and help your company scale. It’s sometimes tough love, but love nevertheless.  We are happy to announce the start of the second Sustainability batch run together with our Danish partners Richard Georg Engström, Michael Honoré and Max Bauchau and under the guidance of our first Sustainability batch alumni, now SWG’ Managing Director Attila Hudecz.

“I’ve worked with a lot of great professionals, but a lot of mentors from the Startup Wise Guys program have held inspiring workshops, and the thoughts I’ve heard still shape my business thinking. That’s why I was delighted to be able to join the program as an MD and hopefully have a similar impact on some of the participants.” sais Attila.
